Greene County follows a brother and sister who get into the wrong car after thinking it was their ride. What starts as just awkward conversation with Kyle Mathis, their overly friendly driver, takes a turn into a horrifying direction, as he drives through back wooded roads, opposite of Emma and Ian's destination. After they finally realize the trouble they are in, Kyle hits a deer, killing Ian, and leaving him no choice but to drive straight home with Emma to figure things out. With the deer left on the road, Anna-Lee Pretcher, a Park Ranger who dreams of having a more fulfilling life, uncovers something she had never imagined could be living in her hometown. As Anna-Lee gets closer to the truth, Kyle tries to fight the monster that has been growing inside him. Greene County is a film that examines the beauty in small-town America, and the violent chaos that can be hidden deep within it.
